Pledis Encourages Dating?

I thought Pledis was just lax when it came to older individuals dating like Kahi, Jung Ah, JuYeon, etc from Kahi’s statement “There is no such restriction. My company actually wants me to date and have a boyfriend!” after hearing a comment about Korean companies strict dating rules a few months ago.

But, according to Minhyun from Nu’Est it seems they are this way with all their trainees and debuted idols.

It was revealed in a recent interview that Minhyun has never dated before [….] Minhyun revealed that his agency, Pledis Entertainment, actually encourages dating.

They like for their members to experience a whole level of emotions.

I’m glad Pledis is more realistic than other companies. They’re “idols”, people that should influence others to look up to them. Simply not dating is unrealistic. Dating and doing so while managing a career is more relatable for their fans. Of course, there are risks but this just shows the faith Pledis has in its artists.
